Becky?

Becky is a metallic silver 2005 Pontiac Vibe operating throughout Northern California in the shadow of Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen. What began as a practical hatchback gradually evolved into an ongoing art project, rolling tribute to pop culture, and occasionally a source of confusion for other motorists.

Art project?

When Becky was acquired in 2018, management had not yet settled on a final design direction.

One of the earliest concepts was to transform Becky into a Federation shuttlecraft from Star Trek. Mockups were created using shuttlecraft registry markings and Starfleet-inspired graphics. The Pontiac Vibe’s boxy profile and large windows reminded management of the Galileo-class shuttlecraft from the original series.

Although the concept was eventually abandoned, it established a tradition that continues today: Becky would be more than transportation. She would become a rolling expression of her owner’s interests, including science fiction, animation, movies, and eventually motorsports.

Over the years Becky accumulated her own identity through decals, trim, custom graphics, and small details. Some were planned, some evolved naturally, and a few arrived entirely by accident. Together they transformed a practical hatchback into the Team Becky Motorsports you see today.
